With higher density equipment now being deployed in many data centres, the volume of air being pulled through the rack mounted IT equipment is exceeding the volume of cool air being distributed at the face of the rack.

The Opengate EC cooling systems are controlled by pressure sensors which work in conjunction with the data centre CRAC units to equalize pressure within the server racks maximising cooling efficiency with the existing data centre air supply. . All IT exhaust heat is contained, measured and returned to the facility’s cooling units.

EC cooling systems can communicate with existing management software for real-time cooling capacity assessment and management.

The EC system eliminates the need for supplemental cooling allowing for fewer cooling units and keeps the water or glycol loops at the perimeter of the facility.
